ANDO, Chika
MA, Learning Design and Technology, Stanford University / User Research Specialist, Adobe Systems

Ms. Ando’s expertise is in using technology to enhance learning experience in various settings. Her graduate research work in Learning Design and Technology at Stanford University focused on learning theories as well as human computer interaction design. Currently, as a user research specialist, Chika works on improving the user experience in Digital Video and Audio products at the Dynamic Media Organization at Adobe Systems in San Francisco.

When she was a master’s student at Stanford in 2002, she started working with Dr. BJ Fogg, the founder of the Stanford Persuasive Technology Lab. (Dr. Fogg talked at the DESIGN IT! Pre-Conference 2005.) Dr. Fogg is best known for promoting Captology – Computer as Persuasive Technology. The study of Captology includes the design, research, and analysis of interactive computing products created for the purpose of changing people's attitudes or behaviors. While Chika was working on several research projects with Dr. Fogg, she translated Persuasive Technology written by Dr. Fogg and co-published with Mr. Kora.
